Who We Are
Our youth ministry at Oconee Heights is for students in grades 6-12. The heartbeat of our youth ministry is to Equip Students to Engage the World for the Glory of God. Everything we do is focused on providing students with a place to come, connect, and grow. We want to see our students realize God’s love for them, grow in their own personal relationship with Jesus, and move into the world differently as a result. We would love to have you join us! For more ways to get involved, see our meeting times below…
Sunday Morning Small Groups
Our youth meets each Sunday morning at 9:45am in room 300 of our Fellowship Hall. The heartbeat of this time is to get students in groups talking about the Bible. We believe that discussion about God’s Word – what it means and how it applies to our lives – is essential to grow in our walk with the Lord. (And sometimes we even do so over Krispy Kreme donuts!) We would love to see you on a Sunday Morning!
Students are invited to join us for a fun-packed Youth Night each week on Wednesday nights that we call Rooted (Colossians 2:6-7). Rooted begins each week at 6:15pm. We start off with games, whether that be a a game of half-court basketball outside or hilarious ice breakers inside our Youth Room. And while we may have LOTS of fun, we are serious about 1 thing: Jesus. Our Nights always include a time of worship to give students a chance to respond to the Lord through song. Worship is followed by a time of teaching on practical ways your student can live out his or her faith in real life. The night usually ends with some discussion time in gender specific small groups. We love Rooted, and are sure you will too! We hope to see you soon!
